Usual Event Durations (including registration day). Variations are possible if justified:
Formula Kite World and European Championships: 8 days
Formula Kite Youth Championships and other continental Championships: 7 days
Formula Kite Grand Slam, TT:R World and Continental Championships: 6 days
Formula Kite Grand Prix, SnowKite World Cup: 5 days
Note: for all events except the Formula Kite Grand Prix, a diameter of 2nm is required per racing area. For a Formula Kite Grand Prix, the required racing area diameter is 1.3nm

Sailing Conditions

Venue

For example existinig sailing center, hotel beach, marina etc.

Note: the closing ceremony / prize giving is controlled by IKA, all other functions need to be previously agreed and approved

World Sailing

Note: are there any countries / regions of the world that might have difficulties to attend the event
Note: focus especially on the marketability aspect of the event
Note: This includes data collection for complete event carbon footprint, number of coach boats and official boats, community engagement, recycling and waste management, water supply stations, biodiversity protection and pollution protection plans

Promotion and Media

Note: for all events except the Formula Kite Grand Prix, IKA will act as host broadcaster through their own media team and control the production and distribution of international content as well as the live streaming production and distribution.
For the Formula Kite Grand Prix, IKA will appoint a core media team with the remaining media plan to be discussed.
For all events, the IKA media director controls and approves all relevant international publications.

Organisation

Note: for all events except the Formula Kite Grand Prix, IKA will appoint the full set of international officials including the competition director / technical delegate.
For the senior World Championship, World Sailing will appoint all international officials and IKA will appoint the competition director / technical delegate.
For the Formula Kite Grand Prix, IKA will appoint a team of essential international officials.
For all events, IKA will produce all competition related documents with the input of the Organizing Committee.
